Glasswool is the most common insulation used in homes and commercial buildings worldwide. Glasswool is primarily made from recycled glass. The glass is melted in a furnace then sent to a spinner to create fibres. The glasswool fibres create millions of tiny air pockets which trap the air. The air pockets make glasswool a poor conductor of heat, an important requirement of effective insulation batts.
